MaineStream Finance will host Business 101 on the web and live

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — A one-hour free workshop “Business 101 – Thinking Of Starting A Business?” will be offered by MaineStream Finance on the web and at Penquis in Bangor on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The web feed will start at 10 a.m., and the live class will begin at 6 p.m. at Penquis, 262 Harlow St. in Bangor.

    This workshop provides an overview of the pros and cons of operating a micro-enterprise. Topics include: defining a business plan, why it is needed and resources for business development assistance; being an entrepreneur, business success, professionalism, networking, resources, budgeting and planning, and a review of upcoming classes and workshops.
    Other subjects to be covered are marketing, credit, record keeping, financials and cash flow.
    These workshops are free, but registration is strongly encouraged.
