PVC accolades

    A number of soccer players from the region were honored by the Penobscot Valley Conference (PVC). Named to the Class C Girls First Team was Alex Speed of Piscataquis Community High School and Jessica Preble of Penquis Valley High School. The Second Team includes Abbey Jordan and Tasha Pratt of Dexter Regional High School, Mariah Pettit of PCHS and Courtney Bowers of Penquis.

    Chosen for the Third Team was Grace Riitano of PCHS. Bobbie Lynne Chambers of Dexter and Kaitlin Easler of PCHS each received honorable mention recognition.
    Speed and Hanna Renedo of Orono shared Class C Girls Player of the Year honors.
    The Boys Class First Team includes Nate Burns of PCHS and Trevor Lyford of Penquis. PCHS’ Spencer Martell and Jose Palma were both named to the Second Team.
    The Third Team honorees include Nathan Robichaud of Dexter, PCHS’ Ben Morrill and Cevonte Johnson and Colton Larrabee of Penquis. Seth Blais of Dexter and Jeremy Bell of PCHS both received honorable mention recognition.
    The PVC All-Academic honorees include Meredith Roderka of Dexter and Bowers, Allison Durant and Preble, all of Penquis.
    The boys All-Academic squad includes Seth Blais of Dexter, Foxcroft Academy’s Sam Keane and Penquis players Tom Diaz, Larrabee, Lyford and Devon Strout.
