A call to action from a Scout
To the Editor:
Something that has been bothering me lately is that people in Dover-Foxcroft have been littering more and more. I live on Lincoln Street and almost every morning there is trash on our lawn and the sidewalk in front of our house. I’ve noticed that this is happening all over town. This not only makes the town look bad but is dangerous to birds, fish and animals and is bad for the Earth.
When you see litter, you should try to pick it up and throw it in a trash can. If you see someone littering, you should tap them on the back and tell them they shouldn’t do that. If they say they don’t care and don’t pick it up, you should just pick it up yourself and throw it away.
Let’s all help keep our town beautiful.
