Rebar named as a Mr. Baseball finalist

sp-FArebar-dc-po-24    DOVER-FOXCROFT — Foxcroft Academy’s Ryan Rebar was named of one seven finalists, from across the state and representing classes A, B and C, for the Dr. John Winkin “Mr. Baseball” Award, given at the end of every season to the top senior high school baseball player in Maine.

    The Dr. John Winkin “Mr. Baseball” Award winner will be announced on Friday, June 21 as part of the pre-game festivities for the Maine Senior All-Star Game, at 6:30 p.m. at Mahaney Diamond on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono.
    Rebar will take part in the game as well as the Maine-New Hampshire Senior All-Star Game on Monday, June 17 at noon at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham. Also selected for the Pine Tree State squad is Jordan of Dexter Regional High School.
    Rebar and Jordan, as a pitcher and outfielder respectively, will be on the East roster for the June 21 contest. Joining them will be Kaleb Smith of Foxcroft on the pitching staff and Dexter catcher Dylan Graffam.
