Dacano “Cano” Dakota Arno

PO Dacano Arno OB    DOVER-FOXCROFT – Dacano “Cano” Dakota Arno, 17, passed away tragically on Monday, June 3, 2013, in Sebec. Born September 29, 1995, in Bangor, he was a junior at Foxcroft Academy.
Dacano attended youth services every Wednesday night at the Charleston Pentecostal Church. He loved playing basketball, running, bike riding, Man hunt and doodling cat pictures, but his all time favorite was skipping classes. He had volunteered at the Center Theater for many years. One of his favorite things he liked to do was sneak out at night in the winter after a storm and shovel the neighborhood yards with his brother, when no one would suspect it was them. He had an amazing sense of humor that was infectious to all and a smile that could melt a heart. He was always lending a helping hand.
Dacano is survived by his parents, Jody L. Arno, Kirt Stockley, and Ross Merrill; sister, Aspen Victoria Maquera; twin brother, Darango Denver Arno; brothers Kody, Dylan and Kameron Stockley; and grandparents, Pam and Steve Arno. He is also survived by his aunt, Carla Arno; uncle, Toby Arno; and many, much loved cousins. With much love he left many, many close friends behind and his girlfriend, Brittany Adkins.
A celebration of his life was held 5-9 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Kiwanis Park, Park Street, Dover-Foxcroft. Friends and family were invited to share happy memories of Dacano. Memorial contributions for the Arno family may be sent to Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union, PO Box 507, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
