Fossa’s store building a strong local staff

DEXTER — Dexter Regional Development Corporation (DRDC) is pleased to announce that Debbie Learned of Exeter is going to be the assistant manager at Fossa’s General Store with Courtney Doore of Dexter and Belinda Crouse of Sangerville filling out the crew when the store opens in May.

Learned is a military veteran, has lived all over the country before putting her roots down in Exeter last year. She has experience in start-up businesses and working with a staff.  She is an animal lover and rescuer of her pets.
Doore grew up in the Milo area but has lived in Dexter for almost eight years. She worked for Judy Craig Consulting for six years, worked at the Abbott Memorial Library and has retail experience. She is also very artistic and an animal lover as well.
Crouse is married to contractor Fred Crouse and they have horses and dogs and she is a self-professed “country girl.”  Many of you may know Crouse from Lake Shore Lunch as the friendly server or out on the trail riding her beloved horses.
We are still in search of a fulltime cook who is inventive with local food and “scratch cooking,” but we have many volunteer chefs/cooks who are offering their time to be volunteer celebrity chefs.
We have volunteers that are anxious to help in the non-profit store as well; ages ranging from 8 to 85.
Call Project Coordinator/Store Manager Judy Wilbur Craig if you would like to be a part of the Dexter Community Farm Project and Fossa’s General Store at 924.-DEXTer (3398) or e-mail at judy@DexterFarmProject.com.
