NELSON, Mary E., 91, of Monson, at Greenville, March 22, 2013. Graveside services will be held later in the spring at the Hillside Cemetery in Monson. Arrangements are in the care of Crosby & Neal, Guilford.

    MONSON – Mary E. Nelson, 91, died March 22, 2013, at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. She was born in Monson, March 12, 1922, the daughter of Archie and Bessie (Spinney) Greenleaf. She was a graduate of Monson Academy and worked for several years at Moosehead Manufacturing. She was a life member of the Almeda Chapter of the OES and enjoyed spending her summers at their camp on Lake Hebron.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Frank W. Nelson; and a son, David W. Nelson.
    She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Deborah and Foster Ward; and a son, Douglas Nelson, all of Monson; a daughter-in-law, Diana Nelson of Greenville; five grandchildren, Mari-Ellyn Ward of Brewer, Frank Ward of Greenville, Jennifer Ward of Delaware, and Robert Nelson and Monica Jasinski both of Wisconsin; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Dag Greenleaf of Monson, Glenys Ebersold, Doris Turner and June Nelson all of CT, and Norma Greenleaf of Kansas.
    Graveside services will be held later in the spring at the Hillside Cemetery in Monson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Monson Public Library or the Monson First Responders, P.O.
