Weber Insurance holds auction to benefit charity of winner’s choosing
GORHAM. N.H. — On Dec. 8 the Weber Insurance Group held its annual Christmas dinner party at the Town & Country Motor Inn located in Gorham, N.H. Over 60 people attended the evening festivities.
QUILTS FOR CHARITY — Jamie Morrison, right of Kimball Insurance in Guilford, won a Bird House Quilt during the Weber Insurance Group’s Christmas dinner party in Gorham, N.H. Morrison won the quilt with Derek Grant, left, and they also got to pick a charity to receive proceeds from the quilt auction, opting for the Piscataquis Santa Project. Also pictured is Camillia Yeaton of Weber Insurance of Farmington who made and donated a pair of quilts for the event.
Camillia Yeaton of Weber Insurance of Farmington made and donated two quilts to be auctioned off with the proceeds from each quilt going to a charity of the successful bidder’s choice. The auction raised over $900.
The winner of the Mile a Minute quilt was Randy Lincoln of the Randy Lincoln Agency in Houlton. Lincoln’s choice was the Wounded Warrior Project, which serves veterans and service members and their families who incurred a physical or mental illness, injury or wound related to their military service on or after Sept. 11.
The Bird House quilt was won by Derek Grant and Jamie Morrison — Morrison works for Kimball Insurance in Guilford. Grant and Morrison chose to support the Piscataquis Santa Project. The project provides coats, boots, warm clothing and toys for children ranging from infant to age 16, who live in any of the five school districts in the Piscataquis area, making sure they wake up with gifts on Christmas morning.
