Pine Tree Hospice’s 15th annual Golf Open set for Aug. 20

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Golfers, registration is open for Pine Tree Hospice’s 15th annual Golf Open on Saturday, Aug. 20. This fun-filled day, hosted by Foxcroft Golf Club, serves as a time to get together with your best golfing friends on a beautiful course, while fundraising for the critical programs that have been available, 100 percent free, from Pine Tree Hospice for 37 years.

How can you be part of this?  You can register by calling Pine Tree Hospice at 207-802-8078, emailing us at info@pinetreehospice.org, or visiting Foxcroft Golf Club. Registration is $50 per player and is an 18-hole scramble which includes a cart. Choose from either an 8 a.m. or 1:30 shotgun start. Lunch and snacks will be waiting for you, along with great prizes and raffle items.

Businesses can sponsor a team of employees which is a great opportunity for team building. But if your business does not have any golfers within your ranks, we have other sponsorship opportunities that get your business name out there.

Why is this organization so important in our communities? Pine Tree Hospice provides free non-medical support, resources, and education to those with life-limiting conditions, caregivers, and grieving individuals through a trained volunteer network in Piscataquis, Penobscot, and Somerset counties.

The work of this organization is only made possible by donations and fundraising efforts like the golf tournament. Pine Tree Hospice does not receive any insurance, state, or federal monies in return for its services.

So, we hope you will join us for a fun day of golf and a chance to win great prizes, all in support of a great cause.
