District budget meeting set for June 6 MILO – A proposed 2022-23 SAD 41 budget totaling $10,839,851 was approved by the school board during a meeting at the Penquis Valley School on May 4.

SKOWHEGAN – Skowhegan Savings held its 152nd Annual Meeting of the Corporators announcing that the bank had historic financial performance in 2021.

BANGOR – Eastern Maine Development Corporation was awarded $600,000 to provide workforce development services to young people and businesses in Aroostook, Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Washington counties.

DEXTER – Foxcroft Academy took advantage of having baserunners in every inning by scoring in each of the first three innings for a 5-3 victory at Dexter Regional High School in an interclass baseball game on Monday afternoon.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Like many other organizations across the state and beyond, those involved with Partners for Peace — the domestic violence resource center for Piscataquis and Penobscot counties — did their best to navigate the pandemic.

GUILFORD — The SAD 4 school board approved a 2022-23 budget totaling $7,772,120 during an April 12 meeting at Piscataquis Community Elementary School.

DOVER-FOXCROFT – A pair of land use ordinance amendments have been accepted as written by the Dover-Foxcroft Planning Board, and will now be sent to the selectboard for final approval before being placed on the Tuesday, June 14 referendum ballot.

MILO – Officials from SAD 41 and three other area school districts continue to work on a regional comprehensive high school project.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — A preliminary RSU 68 budget of $12,747,098 for the 2022-23 academic year was presented to the full school board during a meeting at the SeDoMoCha School on Tuesday evening.

MILO — Penquis Valley High School students had the opportunity to put the pens, pencils, books and laptops away for a day and instead took part in a morning of health-related workshops and games in the afternoon.
