Saturday morning June 10, Dexter Dover Area Towns in Transition (DDATT) will sponsor a small-scale haymaking workshop to demonstrate simple hand tools that run on whatever you had for breakfast, as well as a small gasoline powered sickle bar mower.

Six women from the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Miosac Club in Dover-Foxcroft attended the GFWC Spring Convention at the Hollywood Hotel & Casino May 11-12. It is with great pride that I write to you about the RSU 68 school budget. Throughout the budget process, the RSU 68 School Board worked with a guiding principle that says they are committed to making transparent, student-centered budget decisions. The budget that was presented and accepted at the May 30, 2017 district budget meeting reflects the belief in that principle.

When I was elected to the school board in Guilford I made an appointment with my doctor and he doubled my meds. If you are prone to nausea, you might want to take some precautions yourself before you read the budget presented to SAD 4 by the board.

When Gov. Paul LePage was first elected to office he launched what became the 25 “Red Tape Workshops” tour throughout Maine, hearing from “1,000 job creators about how government red tape impacts their businesses.” That direct feedback was instrumental in modifying or getting rid of some of the useless red tape plaguing business owners, preventing them from hiring — even causing would-be businesses from starting or expanding in Maine.
