New technology (computers, internet) adds some amazing, convenient customer options for businesses and government agencies. The same technology, however, also adds to the most inconvenient, antagonistic business practices. I keep a mental list of my favorite and least-favorite business customer practices.

We need to do everything we can to keep guns away from schools. That means that we should stop wasting time and energy debating the nonsensical idea of arming teachers or the dangerous idea of allowing parents to bring guns onto school grounds, and instead look at ideas that might actually be worth considering.

Dexter Regional High School freshmen Peyton Grant and Avery Herrick both starred in their first career tournament games at the Cross Insurance Center and were honored for their play by being chosen as two of five players on the 2018 Bangor Daily News All-Tourney Team for Class C North.

I want to support all the efforts to reduce the violence we see daily in this country. I stand with the students in Parkland, Florida, who are demonstrating for increased safety in gun laws.
