FISH & GAME DONATION — Jim Nicholas of the Dexter Fish & Game Association presents a $200 donation to Dexter Community Farm Project Coordinator Judy Wilbur Craig, which will go toward the project and Fossa’s General Store.

DEXTER — On a very stormy morning on Tuesday, March 19, Jim Nicholas of the Dexter Fish & Game Association generously donated $200 to the Dexter Community Farm Project & Fossa’s General Store.

The Dexter Fish & Game, a non-profit, operates the Wassookeag Family Campground and holds an annual fishing derby, both on Lake Wassookeag. With their extra proceeds, the organization has donated to many non-profits in the Dexter-area. Over the past two years the recipients have been the Dexter Fire Department for its Jaws of Life fundraiser, donated almost 40 fishing rods and reels during the P&L Market’s annual pig scramble and donated to the Dexter Regional High School senior Class of 2011 as well as to the Dexter Community Playground fundraiser.
The Wassookeag Family Camp will be opening for the 2013 season in May and are offering a special seasonal rate for a whole season of camping. Call 207-717-CAMP for reservations.
The Dexter Regional Development Corporation thanks the members of Dexter Fish & Game for their generous donation and it will be put to great use in supporting local farmers and producers.
