Menopause expertise at Northern Light Mayo Hospital

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Northern Light Mayo Hospital is pleased to announce that Kristen Wagner, DO has recently earned the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner  credential, increasing access to specialized care in the Dover-Foxcroft area. Proving expert knowledge in menopause care, Dr. Wagner successfully passed the certification requirements demonstrating her proficiency to treat women in midlife.

Dr. Wagner observed that many women weren’t living their best, healthiest lives, seeing an entire “season” of women’s lives neglected in the healthcare setting. “I am motivated to bring current, evidence-based care to the women that I see in my practice,” Dr. Wagner said. “It is important to me to be well-prepared to care for women in midlife.” In addition to treating symptoms, she believes that preventative care addressing bone and cognitive health is just as important.
