Guerin recognized with Legislator of the Year Award by Maine Forest Products Council
MILLINOCKET – The Maine Forest Products Council recognized Sen. Stacey Guerin, R-Glenburn with the organization’s Legislator of the Year Award at its Annual Membership Meeting on Sept. 13. This award, presented by Krysta West, executive director of the Maine Forest Products Council, recognizes Guerin’s exceptional service on behalf of Maine’s forest industry at the Maine Legislature.
“Sen. Guerin’s tireless advocacy in defense of landowner rights on the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee was invaluable, making her a true friend to Maine’s working forests,” West said. “Her leadership made a real difference, and we thank her for her unwavering support and steadfast partnership.”

Established in 2024, the Legislator of the Year Award recognizes exceptional service on behalf of Maine’s forest industry in the legislature.
Since 1961, the Maine Forest Products Council has been the voice of Maine’s forest economy. The council represents the diverse needs of Maine’s forest products community. Members include landowners, loggers, truckers, paper mills, tree farmers, foresters and lumber processors, as well as bankers, lawyers and insurance executives.
