Wellington man indicted for gross sexual assault

    SKOWHEGAN — A Wellington man accused of gross sexual assault in Moscow last summer was among those indicted by a Somerset County grand jury last week.
    Cory Coldwell, 25, of Parkman Road in Wellington, is charged with the sexual assault of 26-year-old woman in Moscow on June 20. He was arrested Dec. 7, two days after he was indicted.

    According to court records, the victim “was unconscious or otherwise physically incapable of resisting and had not consented to the sexual act.”
    Coldwell was released on $2,500 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in Somerset County Superior Court on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
    He is not allowed to use or possess alcohol or illegal drugs, must submit to random search and testing by police and is not allowed to have contact with the victim, according to bail conditions.
