Katahdin is closed to hikers for the season

Katahdin is closed to hikers for the season.
All trails up Maine’s tallest mountain, as well as Traveler Ridge, closed Tuesday, according to Baxter State Park.
The Chimney Pond Trail to Chimney Pond Campground remains open until Thursday.
