Center Theatre to host Maine Outdoor Film Festival Selects Tour

DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Center Theatre for the Performing Arts has announced that it will host the Maine Outdoor Film Festival Selects Tour at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The festival curates and presents outdoor adventure and conservation film experiences that highlight the beauty and complexity of the planet.

The two-hour program features seven short films from across Maine and around the world, showcasing stories of outdoor exploration, environmental stewardship and human connection. Highlights of the lineup include “Last of a Kind”, “An Optimist”, “Chasing Lions”, “Ski the View”, “It Takes Two to Tandem”, “The River’s Gift” and “Remnants”.

“The Maine Outdoor Film Festival brings top-notch storytelling and imagery to our community,” Patrick Myers, executive director of the Center Theatre, said. “It provides a wonderful opportunity for folks to connect, explore and learn about the outdoors through the power of film.”

General admission tickets are $10 per person, and $8 for students, seniors, veterans and members of the Center Theatre. Tickets can be purchased online at www.centertheatre.org, by calling the box office at 207-564-8943 or by visiting the theatre in person at 20 East Main St., Dover-Foxcroft.
