Center Theatre to host free Theatrical Auditions Workshop

DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Center Theatre for the Performing Arts, in partnership with The Slightly Off-Center Players, has announced a free Theatrical Auditions Workshop at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18. Led by Center Theatre Theatrical Director Ashley Gosselin, the interactive workshop is designed for participants ages 12 and up who are interested in learning about stage audition techniques for plays and musicals.

The session will guide attendees through the audition process, covering what to expect, how to prepare effectively and common pitfalls to avoid. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice auditioning on stage and receive direct, constructive feedback to prepare for future roles.

“Giving performers in our region the tools and confidence to succeed on stage is an important part of our educational efforts,” Patrick Myers, executive director of the Center Theatre, said. “Whether someone is preparing for their very first audition or looking to refine their technique, this workshop offers valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment.”

While the workshop is free to attend, advance registration is required by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct 16. For more information or to register for the workshop, visit www.centertheatre.org, call the box office at 207-564-8943 or visit the theatre at 20 East Main St. in Dover-Foxcroft.
