Twenty run in Foxcroft Academy’s Pony Pride 3.8K

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Foxcroft Academy graduates, community members and visitors to the region kicked off the Saturday of Foxcroft Academy Alumni Weekend on Aug. 1 by running in the 2026 edition of the Pony Pride road race. For the fifth year in a row the course was 3.8 kilometers (about 2.2 miles in length) with the runners staying in town on the Saturday morning.

Ethen Eakright won this year’s Pony Pride, running a time of 13 minutes, 56.8 seconds for the fastest among a field of 20 entrants. He also set a record for the current course, shattering a time of 14:20.8 from 2023.

Stacylyn Doore was the women’s winner with her time of 20:14.2.

The school thanks Adviser George Rolleston and the Foxcroft Academy Key Club for helping facilitate the race, Edwards Brothers Shop ‘n Save for donating water and bananas for the racers at the finish line and Butterfield’s Ice Cream for supplying the winners of the categories with gift cards.
