Hospitals celebrate medical assistant program graduates
Northern Light Mayo, CA Dean, and Sebasticook Valley Hospitals are proud to celebrate the graduation of their latest class of medical assistants. Six individuals successfully completed the program requirements, became certified clinical medical assistants, and started new careers in Northern Light Health’s Corinth, Dover-Foxcroft, Newport and Unity health centers.
The new medical assistants were presented with certificates at a recent ceremony held at Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. Friends, family and hospital staff were in attendance to celebrate with the program graduates.

Medical assistants are an essential part of the healthcare team, supporting physicians, family nurse practitioners and physician associates with patient care in a medical practice setting. They help patients prepare for appointments, take vital signs, document medical histories and more. Medical assistants can even continue their education and training to pursue careers in nursing, medical practice management, and other areas.
