Golfers invited to support 19th annual Pine Tree Hospice tournament

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Pine Tree Hospice invites golfers, businesses and community supporters to participate in its 19th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 15 at Foxcroft Golf Club, located at 84 Foxcroft Center Road.

This scramble style tournament features two flights, with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Registration is $60 per player and includes cart, lunch and a swag bag. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in this fun-filled day supporting a vital community organization. Prizes awarded to top four teams. Additional prizes for side games including longest drive and closest to the pin.

Pine Tree Hospice is proud to recognize Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union as an Albatross Level Sponsor. Their generous support, along with that of many other local businesses, helps make this event possible.

Since 1985, Pine Tree Hospice has provided free, non-medical volunteer hospice services throughout Piscataquis County and parts of Penobscot and Somerset counties. Services include caregiver respite, companionship for those who are homebound, transportation assistance, bereavement support and comfort for individuals and families facing serious illness, grief and end-of-life challenges.

As a volunteer hospice organization, Pine Tree Hospice receives no funding from Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, or government programs. Community fundraisers such as the annual Golf Tournament are essential to sustaining these services at no cost to those who need them.
