Forrest G. Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament expands to two days
GREENVILLE — In response to feedback from golfers and sponsors, this year’s Forrest G. Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament will offer two date options to provide more flexibility for golfers, make room for new teams and increase pace of play.
The tournament, held by Northern Light CA Dean Hospital and hosted by Mt. Kineo Golf Course in Rockwood, will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 5 and Thursday, Aug 6. Golfers can pick the date that works best for them or choose to participate on both days.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Northern Light CA Dean Hospital and the Forrest G. Whitman Scholarship Fund to help local students achieve their educational goals. Scholarships honor the memory of Forrest G. Whitman, a longtime community leader and CA Dean champion.

MEMORIAL TOURNEY — The annual Forrest G. Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament will expand to two days this year, Aug. 5-6 at the Mt. Kineo Golf Course in Rockwood.
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. and will take place rain or shine. Registration includes greens fees, golf cart, a light breakfast, lunch, a gift bag and water shuttle service to and from the Rockwood Boat Landing to the course on Kineo. Awards will be presented to the top teams and individuals.
Mt. Kineo Golf Course, built in the 1880s, is one of New England’s oldest and most picturesque courses. Accommodations are available in Greenville and surrounding communities for those traveling to the tournament.
“Whitman Golf is a unique experience welcoming golfers from all over Maine and the Northeast,” Randy Clark, president, Northern Light CA Dean Hospital, said. “The tournament is about more than a great day on the course—it’s about coming together to make a meaningful difference. We’re excited about the tournament’s growth and look forward to welcoming friends old and new.”
