Three area athletes take part in New England track championship

NORTH BERWICK — Three athletes between Dexter Regional High School and Piscataquis Community High School took part in the New England outdoor track and field championship on June 13 at Noble High School, a week after they combined for four individual titles at the Class C championship.

PCHS senior Ava Goulette finished 13th in the girls discus. Goulette’s throw measured 115 feet, 11 inches to come in 13th among a field of 36 entrants from across New England.

Goulette also placed 19th among 34 shot put throwers at a distance of 35-09.75.

Dexter senior Damiair Miller came in 22nd among 27 boys in the triple jump at exactly 40 feet.

Tiger senior Brady Jermone threw 44-01.25 in the shot put to finish 27th among 33 in the event.
