Heart of Maine Resource Center Dexter Family Fun Day

DEXTER – Heart of Maine Resource Center invites families from across the region to attend the 2nd Annual Dexter Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 19 at the Dexter Public Beach.

This free community event is designed to celebrate the start of summer while bringing families together for a day of fun and connection. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including: bounce castles and inflatable slides, face painting, bracelet making. lawn games, live music, snacks and more.

The Kiwanis Dough Boys will also be on site with food available for purchase.

In addition to family-friendly activities, the event will feature a lighthearted fundraising competition between HMRC board members Andrew Bermudez and Trampas King. Community members can vote with their donations to decide who will take on each challenge during the event.

One participant will spend the day elevated on a lift generously sponsored by Ace Hardware, while the other will face the community in a dunk tank sponsored by Millworks Custom Apparel. Every donation counts as a vote and helps support Heart of Maine Resource Center’s food distribution programs.

Community members can cast their votes and make donations online at https://givebutter.com/dexter-family-fun-day-competition.

While admission to Dexter Family Fun Day is free thanks to the support of local sponsors, donations are welcomed and will directly support HMRC’s mission of connecting neighbors with the resources they need to thrive.

Heart of Maine Resource Center connects neighbors with the resources they need to thrive. Through food distribution, home repair programs, and community partnerships, HMRC works to strengthen community wellbeing and build a more connected future for the Maine Highlands region.
