Three Ponies win freshmen track titles

ORONO — Three Foxcroft Academy athletes won events at the 2026 Penobscot Valley Conference frosh track and field championship at Orono High School on June 2.

Alexis Arcaro won the girls high jump. She cleared the bar at a height of 4 feet, 8 inches.

Arcaro also came in third and fourth in the 100 and 200 with respective times of 13.57 and 28.24 seconds.

She anchored the third-place 4×100 team with Olivia Mishio, Melanie Cornellier, Terra Morrison and Arcaro running a time of 56.51 seconds.

The Ponies had four girls in the top 10 of the 100 with Mishio seventh at 14.48 seconds, Morrison eighth at 15.13 seconds and Cornellier 10th at 15.15 seconds.

Mishio also came in ninth in the 200 at 30.95 seconds and fifth in the 400 with her time of 1:10.38. Morrison placed seventh at 1:12.77.

Jelena Pingree had a ninth-place throw in the discus at 51-09.

Piscataquis Community High School’s Reagan Rollins finished as the javelin runner-up with her distance of 90-11. She also was fifth in the discus at 66-04.

Mya Knight of PCHS came in seventh in the long jump at 13-00.50.

In the boys meet, Jeremii Hutchinson-Mallory earned top triple jump honors as he landed a distance measuring 36-03.

Hutchinson-Mallory also placed third in the long jump at 18 feet and fourth in the high jump at 5-02. He anchored the fourth-place 4×100 relay squad, joining Jordon Dill, Salvatore Rizzitello and Westin Donahue for a time of 51.09 seconds.

Braidyn Wing came in first in the discus with a throw of 94 feet.

Josiah Thomas finished in the top four in both hurdle events. He was third at 300 meters in 50.10 seconds and fourth in the 110 high hurdles at 21.08 seconds.

Donahue placed third in the pole vault at 8 feet and seventh in the 100 in a time of 12.65 seconds.

Rizzitello had a fifth-place high jump performance at 5-00. He was also eighth in the long jump at 15-11.

Dill came in eighth in the 200 at 27.93 seconds.

Donahue was 10th in the long jump at 13-10.

PCHS’ Elijah Polley finished fifth in both hurdle events with times of 23.06 and 58.32 at 110 and 300 meters.
