Pony boys track finishes third at Orono
ORONO — The Foxcroft Academy boys outdoor track team concluded the regular season with a May 22 Penobscot Valley Conference meet at Orono High School. The Pony boys finished third among seven schools with a score of 94 points.
Conner Donahue came in second in the 100 meters with his time of 11.39 seconds. Donahue also anchored the second-place 4×100 relay as he followed Aiden Bryant, Simon Turzik and Landon Smith with the four combining for a time of 46.83 seconds.
Donahue finished third in the long jump at a distance of 21 feet. 0.75 inches.
Ethen Eakright came in second in the 1,600 racewalk at 11:38.
Noah Ferioli placed second in the 3,200 with his time of 10:55.43. Carlos Alba Moreno was next in third place at 10:56.62.
The two were fourth, fifth in the 1,600 at 4:50.12 and 4:51.43 respectively.
In the 4×400 relay, Alba Moreno, Ben Mailloux, Hawken Hall and Ferioli finished third at 4:04.28.
The Pony 4×800 relay was also third as Salvatore Rizzitello, Jordan Dill, Jamison Lilly and Weston Donahue combined for a time of 10:35.57.
Eamon Vandermast scored points in the three sprints. He was fourth in 200 and 400 at 24.30 and 54.98 seconds. Vandermast came in sixth in the 100 with his time of 11.81 seconds.
Aiden Bryant placed in three events, including both hurdle races. He finished fourth in the 110 hurdles at 16.86 seconds and fifth at 300 meters in 46.75 seconds. Bryant had a fourth-place javelin throw at 127-01.
Smith and Maddox Kimball were fourth and fifth in the triple jump at distances measuring 37-05.75 and 35-05.25.
Tristan Brunner came in fifth in the 200 and 400 with times of 24.34 and 55.43 seconds.
Jeremii Hutchinson-Mallor placed sixth in the high jump at 5-02 and sixth in the long jump at 18-09.25.
Donahue was sixth in the pole vault at a height of 7-06.
In the girls meet, Foxcroft ended the day fifth among a field of seven teams with 43 points.
Jasmine Hall came in second in both the shot put and discus. Hall had top throws measuring 29-10 and 85-08.
Alexis Arcaro finished second in the 200 at 28.69 seconds and she placed third in the high jump at 4-08.
She also was fourth in the 100 at 13.75 seconds and anchored the fourth-place 4×100 relay. Lilian Makowski, Melanie Cornellier, Zoey Eakright and Arcaro combined for a time of 55.59 seconds.
The Pony 4×400 relay also came in fourth. Olivia Mishio, Terra Morrison, Celine Rush and Eakright covered the approximate mile in 4:49.67.
Eakright was sixth in the 200 at 29.38 seconds.
