Conlogue named NAC Field Athlete of the Week

BANGOR — Husson University junior Abigail Conlogue, a resident of Brownville and a Penquis Valley High School graduate, has been named North Atlantic Conference Field Athlete of the Week.

Conlogue earned her first event win of the season in her first outdoor meet of the year at the Yellow Jacket Open at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 28. She captured first-place honors in the javelin with a distance of 33.69 meters. Conlogue also competed in the hammer and discus throws, placing 15th and 20th with respective throws of 29.45 and 19.83 meters.

Conlogue is majoring in health sciences at Husson.
