Foxcroft Academy Key Club presents over $13,000 in gifts to local groups

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Over the past nine months, the Foxcroft Academy Key Club has been actively engaged in raising money for various projects that the members are passionate about through several service initiatives. In fact, the club has raised over $18,000 this year as part of its mission: Caring – Our Way of Life.

On March 26, during assembly, the Key Club presented several local groups and families with checks totaling over $13,000, in addition to other gifts and certificates. This total represents a significant achievement for a small group. The recipients of the donations from the Key Club were present at the assembly to receive their checks. They included: Piscataquis Area Food Center, Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club, Thompson Free Library, The Thirst Project, Boy Scouts of America, Bangor Humane Society, Crow Hop Farm, Northern Light Children’s Miracle Network, Spirit’s Place, Camp CaPella, Camp Sunshine (giving in May), Piscataquis Area Community Center and the Taylor and Strout families.

The Key Club would like to thank the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis for their leadership and support. Many Kiwanis members attended the check presentation ceremony. The Key Club takes pride in assisting the community it serves. Where there is a need, the FA Key Club will always find a way to help.
