1 killed, 1 seriously injured in Dover-Foxcroft crash

DOVER-FOXCROFT — A single-vehicle accident in Dover-Foxcroft claimed the life of a passenger and left the driver seriously injured early Sunday morning, Jan. 26.

Jersie Worley-Stewart, 22, of St. Albans, was killed in the crash, which occurred near 1408 Dexter Road, according to Dover-Foxcroft police.

The vehicle’s driver, Isaac Weymouth, 23, was flown to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with serious injuries.

The accident happened at around 1:20 a.m., according to police, who declined to immediately release further information.

The Dover-Foxcroft Police Department was assisted on scene by the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police, Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department, Sangerville Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance, and LifeFlight of Maine.
