Committee assignments for the 132nd Maine Senate announced
AUGUSTA — On Dec. 12 Senate President Mattie Daughtry, D-Brunswick announced the committee assignments for the 132nd Maine Senate. There are 17 joint-standing committees and the government oversight committee.
Senate District 4’s Sen. Stacey K. Guerein, R-Glenburn will serve on the inland fisheries and wildlife committee along with Chair Sen. Joe Baldacci, D-Bangor and Sen. Anne Carney, D-South Portland.
“In Maine, we have a proud tradition of lawmakers being assigned to committees by presiding officers based on their interests and lived experience, their districts and the paths they are on as leaders in their communities. In the Senate, I couldn’t be prouder of the people I’ve appointed to serve. They are teachers and EMS professionals, farmers and school counselors, small business owners and more,” said Daughtry. “These Mainers care deeply about the future of our state and I believe they will do great work for the people of Maine.”
Joint-standing committees are composed of three senators and 10 representatives.
