Ridge View track runs in Bucksport

BUCKSPORT — The Ridge View Community School outdoor track & field team competed in a middle school meet held at Bucksport High School on May 7.

Genevieve Stanley had the top girls grade 5-6 shot put throw at 17 feet, 11.5 inches.

Molly Belanger won the 50 meters in a time of 8.34 seconds. She also came in second in the 200 at 34.58 seconds.

In the discus Tommilyn Heinrichs and Tessa Hanscom were second and third with respective throws of 36-10 and 34-07.

In the girls grade 7-8 competition Jemma Bullock finished first in both the 100 and 200 at 14.66 and 30.66 seconds. Bullock also ran the second leg of the division’s top 4×100 relay team as Asani Miller, Bullock, Krystal Adkins, and Lakiah Lee combined for a time of 58.29 seconds.

Adkins placed second in the high jump at 3-10, and Miller was third in the 400 at 1:15.01.

Thomas O’Neill was the boys grade 5-6 200-meter winner in 31.09 seconds. He also placed third in both the 50 and 100 at 8.10 and 15.68 seconds.

Connor Sullivan finished first in the discus with his throw measuring 51-11.

Derek Young came in second in the 55-meter hurdles at 12.54 seconds.
