PCHS track competes in Bangor

BANGOR — The Piscataqus Community High School track team took part in a Penobscot Valley Conference meet hosted by Bangor High School at Cameron Stadium on Saturday, April 27. The Pirate girls finished the day with 29 points to place sixth among eight schools.

Sophomore Ava Goulette had a second-place throw in the shot put, measuring 29 feet, 8.5 inches. Goulette also came in third in the discus at 87-02.

Sophomore Sadie Kelly finished fourth in the racewalk at 10 minutes, 10.17 seconds.

Sophomore Jazmin Channon placed fourth in the triple jump at 30-11. She was also fifth in the long jump at 14-10 and sixth in the 200 in 28.87 seconds.

Sophomore Molly Goodwin and freshman Olivia Goodwin were fifth and sixth in the javelin standings with respective throws of 79-11 and 79-04.

Senior Tiara Channon came in sixth in the 400 with her time of 74 seconds.

In the boys’ meet, PCHS was seventh among seven point-scoring teams with four points.

Sophomore Chase Kilian picked up the four points by coming in fourth in the 300 hurdles with his time of 53.84 seconds.
