Area indoor track teams conclude the regular season

ORONO — The regular season for the 2023-24 Eastern Maine Indoor Track League/Penobscot Valley Conference concluded on Friday, Feb. 2 at the University of Maine’s New Balance Field House.

In the boys’ meet Foxcroft Academy scored 17 points to finish sixth among a field of eight teams picking up points.

Pony senior Jack Kingsbury had the highest finish as he came in second in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5 feet, 4 inches.

Sophomore Conner Donahue placed third in the long jump at 18-09. He also came in fifth in the 55-meter finals with a time of 6.97 seconds and he was sixth in the 200 at 25 seconds.

Senior Zachary Peirce finished sixth in the mile with his time of 5:29.77.

In the girls’ meet, Piscataquis Community High School picked up two points to come in eighth among a field of eight schools.

Pirate sophomore Sadie Kelly had a fifth-place performance in the mile with her time of 6:48.52.
