Center Theatre to host free estate planning workshop

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre for the Performing Arts, in collaboration with Hayes Law Office, is excited to announce a free estate planning workshop at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 7. The workshop, led by Tonya Johnson of Hayes Law Office, will provide valuable information and guidance on estate and long-term care planning issues. Light refreshments will be served in the lobby after the event.

The comprehensive workshop is designed to cover a wide range of topics related to estate planning, including financial powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, guardianship and conservatorship, end of life choices, wills, and revocable living trusts. In addition, Johnson will discuss long-term care planning, MaineCare criteria for nursing homes, and things to consider when a move to long-term care is imminent or after a loved one is in long-term care. Pine Tree Hospice will also be on hand to answer questions about hospice care.

Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, believes that the workshop will be beneficial for the community.

“We are thrilled to partner with Tonya Johnson and Hayes Law Office to offer this free workshop to our community,” he said. “Estate planning and long-term care planning can be a large source of stress and this event will provide valuable guidance and insights on how to navigate these complex processes.”
