Greenville Fire Department’s Moosehead Lake Ice Fishing Derby returns this weekend

GREENVILLE — The Greenville Fire Department’s second annual Moosehead Lake Ice Fishing Derby will be returning this weekend from Friday, March 3 through Sunday, March 5.

Registration can be done at the weigh station at the Greenville Fire Department, 10 Minden Street. Hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 3, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, and 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 5. Tickets are $15 each or $30 for family.

Cash prizes are available for the largest lake trout and largest cusk, to be announced on the Greenville Firefighters Association Facebook page after 2 p.m. on Sunday. The derby features lots of great door prizes, which will be announced after 4 p.m. on Saturday.
