Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star selections

The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches recently announced that a pair of Dexter Regional High School senior high school basketball players will be taking part in the 2022 Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star Games on Saturday, March 11 at Newman Gymnasium on the campus of Husson University in Bangor. The games bring together the top members of the Class of 2023 from across the state to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.

The Boys Class C/D North team will include Dexter’s Will Kusnierz. Kusnierz will join the other top 11 seniors in the region from Class C and D to take on the Class C/D South squad at 1 p.m. on March 11.

Jozlynn Paige of Dexter will be on the Girls C/D North team. This senior all-star game between the C/D North and South teams will tip off at 2:30 p.m. on March 11.

Kusnierz was also selected as one of 12 players from across Maine on the Boys Academic All-State Team.

Abigail Knapp of Foxcroft Academy is one of 12 Girls Academic All-State Team honorees.

Dexter head coach is the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches Coach of the Year in Girls Class C North.

The Boys Class C North Coach of the Year is Penquis Valley High School’s Sam Brown.

Pony head coach Toby Nelson will serve as a North coach. Nelson was also named Coach of the Year for Class B North by the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches.
