Local educators to present at regional workshop for teachers

Justina Dill and Wendy Lorigan, teachers at Piscataquis Community Elementary School in Guilford, will be featured presenters at the annual S-T-R-E-T-C-H Your Teaching Workshop to be held on Saturday, March 18 at University of Maine’s Hutchinson Center in Belfast. The two will present a session entitled “Virtual Reality In Elementary Schools.” All Maine teachers and ed. techs are invited to attend this workshop.

The S-T-R-E-T-C-H Your Teaching Workshop is a low cost professional development program for all educators. Other presentation topics include A STEM Science Project, Helping Reluctant Readers, Number Sense, Design Thinking, Free Curriculum Resources from the United Nations, and Combining Storytelling with Family Recipes. Lunch is included with the registration fee, and contact hours will be awarded.
