Piscataquis Democrats donate to Harmony Cares Food Cupboard

The Piscataquis County Democrats had a food drive on Saturday, Jan. 28 to continue their mission of supporting food cupboards. Food insecurity is a huge challenge in our area and the households served have steadily risen. We appreciated all those that contributed either with food items or money.

On Monday, Jan. 30 we delivered an abundance of food plus a check for $200 to the Harmony Cares Food Cupboard in Harmony. They are open the first and third Saturdays of the month from 9-11 a.m. and the following Monday from 5-6 p.m.

The donations were received by Mel Chadbourne and Paul Magoon who assured us that these donations will be appreciated by residents in Harmony as well as surrounding towns.

Our next food drive will be on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon at PCDC HQ at 25 North Street in Dover-Foxcroft. Please come by to support us in this effort!  If you can’t attend, please send checks to the address previously given, C/O Service committee or contribute to https://secure.actblue.com/donate/pcdcservice. All funds go to local food cupboards. Thank you for your continued support.
