AUGERING WELL — Space is a premium these days at Frye Cove on Lake Wassookeag as fishermen stand nearly shoulder to shoulder, all seeking that trophy fish. The Dexter Fish & Game Association's annual Ice Fishing Derby is scheduled for 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15 on the lake. Derby headquarters will be at the Lakeshore Restaurant, 18 Crockett Road, with prizes awarded in more than a half dozen different categories.
