Members of student government at Dexter Regional High School raised funds during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to go toward area individuals living with breast cancer. The students sponsored Hat and Jeans Day and accepted donations from area businesses (OUR FAMBily Restaurant and Ace Hardware) to purchase 21 gas cards redeemable at Irving gas stations to help patients get to appointments for treatments. Hillary Starbird, director of community outreach at Northern Light Mayo Hospital), recently attended a student government meeting to receive the donation.
