Kris Kringle’s Market Dec. 3

MONSON — Monson’s annual Kris Kringle’s Market will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Monson Gym.

Kris Kringle’s Market will offer a variety of crafts (aprons, fabric items, jewelry, etc.), homemade food (Finnish coffee bread, cookies, etc.), wreaths, plus more for sale. 

The Kris Kringle Committee will be serving lunch at 11 a.m. The lunch menu is a choice of soup and sandwich along with dessert and a beverage. 

Entries for the Gingerbread House Competition must be at the gym by 10 a.m. This year’s theme is “Holiday Magic.” Ribbons will be awarded to the top three creative and well-crafted entries. Rules and regulations can be found on the Town of Monson’s Facebook page and website.

The Monson Jammers, a local group of musicians will perform a variety of familiar tunes and holiday songs at 11:30 a.m.

Wreath making for children will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cookie decorating for kids will be at 12:30 p.m. Santa Claus will arrive at 1 p.m. to listen to the wishes of each youngster. 

The Kris Kringle Committee will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets along with an  array of sales by local non-profit groups such as the Monson Public Library.   

This event is the only fundraiser for the Kris Kringle Committee which uses the proceeds to purchase Christmas gifts for children in need. For space and further information call Annalee Libby at 207-997-3268 or email libby04406@gmail.com.
