FA’s Jarrett runs at Class B cross country championship

CUMBERLAND — Foxcroft Academy sophomore Runner Jarrett finished 44th at the 2022 Class B cross country championship on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Twin Brook Recreation Center.

Jarrett covered the 5K course in a time of 18 minutes, 50.07 to place 44th among a field of 100 runners. Entrants qualified by virtue of their individual and/or their teams performances at the previous weekend’s regional championships.

Gray New Gloucester junior Carter won the Class B title in 16:50.13, just ahead of the 16:51.18 for Mount Desert Island High School senior Sam York.

Freeport High School won the boys championship with a score of 35 points, tops among 12 schools. Freeport was well ahead of the 93 points for runner-up York High School and 142 for Greely High School of Cumberland.
