SeDoMoCha recognizes Students in the Spotlight

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The SeDoMoCha School recognized the first Students in the Spotlight of the 2022-23 academic year on Oct. 27 in the first such in-person assembly since 2020.

Elementary honorees were chosen for the fall theme of “SOARing into the New Year.” SOAR stands for “Safety, Organization, Accountability. and Respect.” October’s assembly is based on safety — specifically safety in the classroom, safety on the playground, and fire safety.

The middle school is focusing on Habits of the Mind and each team will be choosing the monthly focus for their team. For October the topics are grade 5, respect; grade 6, empathy; grade 7, respect; grade 8, empathy; and middle school unified arts, taking responsible risks.
