Registration open for Forrest G. Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament

GREENVILLE – Registration is now open for the 11th annual Forrest G. Whitman Memorial Golf Tournament, scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11 at Mount Kineo Golf Course in Rockwood.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the Forrest G. Whitman Scholarship Fund which helps provide local students with support to advance their educational goals. We are honored to offer the scholarship in memory of Forrest G. Whitman, a longtime community leader and CA Dean champion.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. and will take place rain or shine. The registration fee includes greens fees, golf cart rental, mulligans, skirts, a continental breakfast, lunch, gift bags, and water shuttle service. Awards will be presented to the top teams and individuals.

Mount Kineo Golf Course, built in the 1880s, is one of New England’s oldest and most picturesque courses. For those traveling to the tournament, accommodations are available in Greenville and surrounding communities.

“The Forrest G. Whitman Tournament is a great way to show support for the Moosehead Lake Region,” says Marie Vienneau, FACHE, president, Northern Light CA Dean Hospital. “It’s a truly fantastic event that helps make a difference in the lives of our youth while golfers enjoy one of the most beautiful courses in the state.”
