Sebec Village Associates creating welcoming gift bags

SEBEC – Shop local. That’s a mantra we frequently hear and read, and the Sebec Village Associates is launching a campaign to assist local businesses, restaurants, services, and professionals to drive new customers their way.

The SVA is creating welcoming gift bags to present to new residents of Sebec, one bag to each household. These totes will be filled with business cards, water bottles, pens, gift cards, shot glasses, menus, calendars, mugs, and more that have been donated by local businesses along with information new residents will find helpful such as dump hours, town office hours, and the SVA events schedule. The bag will also include a directory of businesses and individuals who have donated items.

The welcoming bags will be ready at the beginning of April, and if you are or know a business owner that would benefit by participating, please contact Joan Baird at 207-564-8526 or Barbara  Mauzy at 207-564-3232 to arrange to have your contributions included in the gift package.

The Sebec Village Associates can’t think of a better way to greet new families and generate traffic to local establishments. Thank you to those who are already participating, it’s not too late for anyone else to be a part of this project.
