Radar Runs gives $2,500 donation to Dover-Foxcroft Fire

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department received a $2,500 check earlier this week — a donation from the Radar Runs event on the frozen Piscataquis River.

Although the Radar Runs took place in early February, firefighters who assisted during the races gathered Monday evening at the fire department to accept the donation.

Garrett and Lindsay Sands of 207 Powersports and Darren Colbry of Colbry Enterprises were there to deliver the check. Another event organizer, Benjamin Cabot of Cabot Legal Services, was not able to attend.

Benjamin Cabot, another organizer, was not able to attend.

“We were basically just there [at the races] to support them,” firefighter Cody Coiley said. “We were there in case of an emergency. Everything went smoothly, and we look forward to next year.”

Event organizers also gave $2,500 to the Piscataquis Valley Snowmobile Club. Raffle money that totaled $2,360 went to the Penquis Youth Hockey Association.
