Don’t close veteran homes

To the Editor;

I believe closing some of our veterans homes is a slap in the face of the veterans and their families. It took a huge effort by the state, families and veteran organizations to build these facilities. These locations give close access to the families of our most vulnerable vets.

Just as our Vietnam veterans need our help, we close the lifeline to give end of life comfort. It’s bad enough the country shunned, threw rocks, spit on and showed complete disrespect to this group of mostly draftees.

Please contact our representatives to reconsider the closing of these facilities.
