Guilford man charged with attempted murder

A judge on Monday ordered that a Guilford man accused of assault and firing three gunshots be held on $20,000 cash bail, according to the district attorney’s office.

Tory Littlefield, 41, is charged with attempted murder, domestic violence assault, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief with a dangerous weapon.

He appeared before Justice William Anderson in Piscataquis County Unified Criminal Court on Monday. Conditions of the bail include no contact with the victim and no possession of dangerous weapons, Assistant District Attorney R. Christopher Almy said.

Domestic violence and the presence of a firearm raises the seriousness of the case, he said.

Piscataquis County Sheriff Bob Young said it’s not often that the sheriff’s office deals with attempted murder.

Kaylee Folster, who represented Littlefield on Monday, declined to comment. The court appointed William Maselli as his lawyer moving forward, Almy said.

Littlefield is being held at the Piscataquis County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 28 at Piscataquis County Superior Court in Dover-Foxcroft, Almy said.
