County Democrats hold food drive

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Piscataquis County Democrats held another food drive on Saturday, Oct. 30 to address hunger in our local communities. We collected needed food supplies as cereal and peanut butter along with money from our local community.

This month, we donated to the Dover-Foxcroft Area Food Cupboard with a check for $200 as well as food items. Besides DFAFC, we also gave a $200 check to the Piscataquis Regional Food Center.

Since February, we have contributed to eight different food cupboards for a total of $2,400. This has been an ongoing project of our service committee to help meet the needs of the people in our area.
